A-nrd Completes Meadow in London

The creative workspace emphasizes comfort, character, and adaptability in Westbourne Park

London-based interior architecture studio A-nrd has unveiled Meadow, an inviting creative workspace in Mason & Fifth’s newly launched Westbourne Park site. Balancing character and adaptability, the design is defined by a low-slung earthy palette layered with upholstery, timber, and plantings. “We didn’t want to create something overly polished or corporate. Meadow is about providing a backdrop for work and creativity with spaces that move between focus and softness, sociability and solitude,” says A-nrd founder Alessio Nardi. “It’s domestic in feel, layered in materiality, and responsive to its setting. We embraced simplicity, not as minimalism, but as a way to foreground comfort and flexibility.”

A sculptural reception console heralds visitors before a curved, modular sofa snaking around large, recycled plastic tables and expansive rugs. Linen upholstery, low inset metal shelving, and timber side tables populate the ground floor, where a communal sapele wood desk with integrated striped bouclé seating takes command. Abundant greenery imbues residential comfort against chalky, neutral walls as full-height glazing pours light inside. Custom pendants, spot tracks, and concealed LEDs further illuminate a range of work environments like built-in workbenches and private booths designed by A-nrd. In addition to phone booths, built-in planters clad with glossy red ceramic tiles nestle daybeds as a comfortable alternative. One custom sapele communal table is accented with contemporary swivel chairs in a mustard hue, while vintage, curved-back metal chairs are paired with a round table in chocolatey velvet as well. Rounding out the space is a meeting room populated with a walnut boardroom table and woven cantilevered seating.

The domestic lower level houses a communal kitchen wrapped in sapele and anchored by an island wrapped in mustard-hued terrazzo resin. Handmade paper pendants and contrasting green zellige tiles also adorn the kitchen, while private workshops clad with glazing mirror the glass partitions upstairs.
