Multidisciplinary architecture and design studio Brenzo has unveiled its transformation of a 750-square-foot workspace inside a mixed-use volume in Barcelona. To actualize the client’s vision of office defined by serenity and flexibility, Brenzo drew inspiration from the white sands and dunes of the Mediterranean coast. “The result is a continuous, uniform, and deliberately unified space in which each function finds its place without disrupting the overall harmony,” says Brenzo cofounder Kino Lorenzo Coronas.
Iron-framed joinery and soft lighting accent an interior landscape of chromatic matte white finishes upon painted wood and metal. The tonal range is echoed by nuanced white curtains as well as the microcement used for floors and the central table. The single sprawling workstation anchors the design, hosting daily work, meetings, and spontaneous conversation against a backdrop of architectural built-in shelving. “Organizing the office around a single large central table dissolves traditional hierarchies,” adds Brenzo cofounder Carla Bria Montcusí. “This gesture transforms the space into a shared horizontal plane, where interaction flows more naturally among all team members, regardless of their role.” A central structural beam is also repurposed into a bench punctuating the transition between the workspace and the meeting room. Such quiet gestures enrich the space, further permeating the subtle warmth of the palette as it blurs boundaries between surfaces.
