Emerald’s Design Group, a leading producer of North American design events and media, today announced the launch of the Workplace Design Summit, a new event dedicated to the design, technology, and innovation shaping modern commercial workspaces.

The inaugural Workplace Design Summit will take place May 3–5, 2027, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, bringing together architects, interior designers, corporate real estate leaders, dealers, integrators, and manufacturers in a format designed to encourage collaboration and discovery. The launch is being developed in close partnership with My Resource Library (MRL), a trusted industry leader whose expertise, insight, and ongoing feedback have played an integral role in shaping the event’s vision and format, further reinforcing its relevance and credibility within the commercial design community.

The Summit will feature immersive design activations, curated one-to-one meetings, expert-led educational sessions, and high-impact networking experiences that connect decision-makers with the companies and solutions transforming today’s work environments. Attendees will also experience experimental design labs and immersive environments that showcase emerging workplace concepts, from hybrid collaboration zones and next-generation materials to new technologies. Rather than simply showcasing products, the Summit will explore how workplace design influences culture, performance, and the human experience at work.

“The way we work is evolving faster than ever, and the environments that support work must evolve just as quickly,” said Jennifer Kovacs Silvis, Vice President and Brand Director at Emerald. “The Workplace Design Summit was created to give the commercial workspace industry a platform to spark meaningful conversations, foster authentic connections, and showcase the innovations redefining how and where work happens.”

“The workplace conversation has changed dramatically,” said Joe Tucker, Show Director, Workplace Design Summit. “Organizations are rethinking not only where people work, but why people gather in physical spaces at all. The Workplace Design Summit helps the industry rethink how workplace environments support culture, collaboration, and performance.”

“In conversations with partners and contacts across the industry, the message has been clear; there’s a need for something more intentional than a traditional trade show,” said Jeff Carlson, Principal of My Resource Library. “People are looking for a purpose-driven, experience-focused environment that fosters meaningful connections and real dialogue. This event is being built with that in mind, and we’re proud to be part of shaping it.”

The launch comes at a pivotal moment for the commercial design industry. As organizations navigate hybrid work, evolving employee expectations, and rapid advances in workplace technology, companies are rethinking how offices support collaboration, productivity, and employee well-being. The Workplace Design Summit will bring together the professionals shaping these environments, along with the end users themselves, to engage directly with peers and innovators while discovering the products and strategies driving the next era of office design.

The event is backed by Emerald’s Design Group, producer of leading industry platforms including HD Expo + Conference, BDNY (Boutique Design New York), ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair), EDspaces, Environments for Aging Conference + Expo, and the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo. The Workplace Design Summit expands Emerald’s portfolio of design events serving architecture, interior design, and the built environment.

Companies interested in sponsorships, partnerships, or showcasing products and services are encouraged to contact the Workplace Design Summit team for information about tailored participation opportunities. Registration is expected to open in December 2026.
