The International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter (IIDA NY) has announced the inauguration of Robin Reigi as Chapter President for the 2026-2027 term. A principal at locally based materials consultancy Robin Reigi Inc., Reigi makes history as the first design materials specialist to lead the New York Chapter. Her official appointment will take place at the Chapter’s Annual Members Meeting at the Gibson Showroom on July 21st alongside incoming President-Elect Rachel Robinson of Ted Moudis Associates.

A longtime IIDA NY board member, Reigi brings forth more than two decades of experience bridging the worlds of product, practice and people in architecture and design. In addition to serving as an adjunct professor of sustainable materials at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), she held the title of Co-Vice President of Student Development for IIDA NY alongside preceding Chapter President Elisabeth Mejia. Reigi will herald her presidency under the motto “All In, reflecting not only a hands-on approach to leadership but a vision of meaningful inclusion as well. “Being the first industry-side person to lead this chapter is something I hold with great responsibility and genuine excitement,” she says. “I’ve spent my career serving the design community, advocating for the materials and solutions that make great spaces possible. Now I have the opportunity to advocate for the community itself. ‘All In’ is a promise to every member, sponsor, student, and partner that you belong here, and that this chapter is better because of you.”
