As Agrosemillas expanded its campus in El Peral, Cuenca, Spain, Impepinable Studio completed the agricultural producer’s new onsite offices alongside new production and storage facilities. The office is crafted to ensure optimal flexibility reflective of a new era of technological innovation for the company. “The project became an exercise in translating that industrial scale into a more human, inhabitable space—almost like a ‘warehouse for people,’” says Impepinable cofounder Gabriela Barrera. “We wanted users to experience a sense of contrast: from an exterior that belongs naturally to its surroundings, to an interior that feels lighter, more generous, and spatially engaging. At the same time, we wanted the space to communicate clearly that this is a company doing things differently—ambitious and forward-looking—yet grounded, approachable, and closely connected to its context.”
Spanning more than 3,000 square feet, the standalone workplace comprises four reused shipping containers installed upon a concrete plinth. Open on two sides, containers form a sawtooth roof profile that unfolds as a sequence of skylights softly infusing sunshine enriching the spatial atmosphere. Exteriors are further punctuated with circular shutters and metal accents that don corporate colors of green and yellow. Lined with wood and greenery, interiors are designed with everyone from warehouse workers to engineers in mind, yielding workspaces supportive of concentration and collaboration as they reflect formal continuity with industrial facilities onsite.
