Medical technology manufacturer ewimed has unveiled the Fundera Business Forum, a new headquarters in Germany’s Medical Valley Hechingen. Architecture studio Ippolito Fleitz Group Identity Architects crafts the new workplace with corporate offices spanning the second floor and a coworking space anchoring the level below. Public workshops and meeting rooms round out the ground floor along with a restaurant. “We wanted people to feel welcomed, supported and inspired. The building is not only a place to work, but a place where people meet, exchange ideas and feel part of a larger community,” says Ippolito Fleitz workplace project director Markus Schmidt. “It was important to create an environment that offers qualities people cannot find in the same way when working from home: spontaneous exchange, shared energy, informal learning and a strong sense of belonging.”
Throughout the building, 140 workstations accommodate flexibility and scalability across sunny interiors organized around a central atrium accented with a suspended tubular light sculpture evoking the structural logic of ewimed products. Vibrant greenery and a warm palette of wood tones and colorful fixtures ranging from deep earth hues to buoyant pastels further imbue lightness, while atrium-facing balconies and expansive views of nearby orchards and even Hohenzollern Castle convey openness.
In the ground floor conference center, workshop rooms, meeting rooms, and a boardroom are equipped with divisible, movable walls. The onsite restaurant serves as a social hub, endowed with colorful furnishings and abundant greenery, while a lower dining area is outfitted with a spacious seated terrace separated via curtain. “Balance is reflected throughout the building — from the restaurant and the coffee points on the atrium balconies to informal meeting areas, flexible workshop rooms and co-working spaces,” Schmidt adds. “The result is a workplace that supports everyday routines, but also creates room for inspiration, innovation and new connections.”
