Interior designer Jasmine Fisher has adapted a 345-square-foot London office into her layered new studio. Buoyed by the belief that interior designers bear an obligation to support traditional craftsmanship, the studio evokes residential warmth with a slew of distinctive design pieces. “Our intention was to create a space where clients could step into our world and experience the impact of what we do and how we do it. The studio therefore reflects many of the principles that underpin our work,” Fisher says, “We wanted clients to feel calm and grounded when they walk in, but also confident and inspired to make decisions and take some risks. The same goes for us working here. Having spent my early career as a barrister in sterile office environments, I knew I wanted to create the opposite: a warm, stimulating space that supports creativity, focus, and productivity.”
Earthy pinks and browns permeate a grounding sense of calm while red accents evoke confidence. Rich limewash wall paint forms the backdrop for textural and layered artwork and objets d’art sourced from artisans around the world. Nemboor shamanic masks woven by indigenous Panamanian women and handwoven wall hangings from Colombia and North Africa imbue character and soul into the space while stoking inspiration.
